New Comprehensive SASD DataTool Available

April 10, 2024

The Sheboygan Area School District is proud to announce our brand-new DataTool! This tool was produced and is hosted by the Wisconsin Policy Forum, a statewide nonpartisan, independent policy research organization. In addition to creating the data displays, the Wisconsin Policy Forum also analyzed the data and includes non-biased key findings in each section.

The Sheboygan Area School District is committed to transparency and providing all stakeholders with accurate and timely information surrounding key areas such as student demographics, teacher demographics, teacher turnover, district finances, student participation, Forward Exam, ACT, College and Career Readiness, and more.

A notable feature of the DataTool is the ability to compare the Sheboygan Area School District to ten peer districts, including Fond du Lac, Green Bay Area Public, Janesville, Kenosha, LaCrosse, Manitowoc, Racine,  Superior, West Allis/West Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Rapids. Peer districts were selected to include those with similar enrollment levels (between 4,000 and 20,000) and the makeup of economically disadvantaged students (45-65% of the student population).

The DataTool was presented to the Board of Education on Tuesday, April 9. View the Wisconsin Policy Forum Report, which explains the data and shares key findings.
